Purdue's 119-man roster skews older than Maryland's on paper — 48% upperclassmen vs. our 40% — but averages only 1.49 years of experience against our 1.79, meaning a lot of that seniority is concentrated rather than spread, and 18% of the roster walks out the door after this season as SR/GR. Their talent layer is marginally better than ours by blue-chip rate (21% of 76 matched at 3.22★ vs. our 16% at 3.18★), though the sample is limited and transfer composition is a black box since Purdue publishes no prior schools. The offensive continuity numbers are the real concern for them, not us — they're returning just 21% of receiving production and 36% of rushing production heading into 2025, compared to our 39% and 73%, though their 85% pass return (vs. our 95%) gives them some quarterback-side stability. DMV angle is thin but real: Puccinelli (TE), Burgos (DE), Owens (WR), and Johnson (WR) all come from the region, so there's a minor recruiting overlap worth noting if any are portal-eligible post-season.
